Researchers and journalists have documented failures in Meta's advertising, artificial intelligence and content moderation systems during the elections, and Brazil's Federal Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a proceeding to investigate the company's moderation. I ask that Meta respond formally to the notice and take the measures requested, in particular: • transparency: a public, real-time dashboard showing banned accounts, removed content, and approved and rejected ads; • human review: an appeals channel run by people, with restoration of anything removed by mistake; • redress: public acknowledgement of the failures and of the measures taken.
